CAFÉ VÉLO

NEVERS

ABOUT

A convivial, bike-friendly space where you can enjoy great coffee, tempting cakes, fine local wines or a refreshing beer along with a tasty, home-cooked meal. You can also spend the night in one of our self-catering rooms.

We offer a warm welcome to all those arriving by bike, whether long-distance travellers, Sunday warriors, or local traffic. For those staying the night, we have a locked garage where you can store your bike overnight. We also have a pump and some basic tools available, and will happily fill your water bottle or sell you a Café Vélo-branded one!

But Café Vélo is not just for cyclists. Residents and visitors to Nevers will enjoy the local produce on offer in a setting that shows off some of the best artisanal talent in the region.

EAT & DRINK

Our primary mission is to serve great coffee. After extensive research, we settled on a rich, fruity blend from Guatemala, Ethiopia and Rwanda, and we offer a full range of hot drinks, including espressos, cappuccinos, and flat whites. An iced version is a must on hot days. We also have a range of teas, and our home-made chilled version is a big hit.

Try one of our home-made cakes. Or if you’re in the mood for something savoury, we have a small and fast-changing menu of home-cooked treats, including home-made bagels, plus delicious vegetarian options.
And on Sundays, come over for brunch.

Our drinks menu encompasses juices and sodas, a carefully-crafted selection of beers, and a hand-picked list of local wines for every budget.

On special days, we offer killer dishes like pulled pork in a soft bun with lime coleslaw. We're not setting any limits at Café Vélo – just serving delicious home-made food with a twist.

RIDE

If you're looking to ride, then you've come to the right place. We're alway happy to suggest a route to suit your level and your needs. Who knows? We might even jump on a bike and join you for a spin! We've ridden these roads, and we've ridden the Loire à Vélo and other local bike routes, so we know what we're talking about.
